This is arguably the most fun activity we have ever done together as a family. Taking an alpaca for a walk is rather like taking a very large dog for a stroll, only when it stops for a wee, you are there for absolutely ages! and you have to get used to rather loud noise they make intermittently, …rather like a “Humph!”. Our children are still taking about their Alpaca and wondering how they are getting on…. so repeat visit due sometime soon! Was particularly struck by how the alpacas automatically get into order of social hierarchy as they are about to march down the street. From memory, Eduardo was the most dominant! Warning: this activity is not for anyone who hates to be stared at in public!

It is very exciting for children to take a day trip to London, but so much more fun if they have something to do on the train, have a trail to follow and plenty of activities to keep them going along the way! Step Outside Guides are the friendliest family guide books to London – and the most fun! Explore the great and the small, the old and the new, the huge and the hidden with their day-long, cost-free themed routes. These guides are particularly good for children who like learning about history, buildings, famous people and need to be constantly busy while out and about!
Can’t say I have tried this one personally, but it looks amazing! and certainly an activity that will set hearts racing! (particularly among parents watching from the sidelines!)
